PM2.5 Dust Sensor :
Prana Air Particulate Matter Indoor PM sensor (PAS-IN-01) is a highly precise and accurate sensor capable of providing real-time data on both PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations. It can be used by both consumer-grade and commercial/industrial sensors and features a laser and photoelectric reception module as well as a 90° light scattering mechanism. The packaging is compact and affordable, making it easy to integrate into various particulate monitoring and controlling solutions. Particulate matter is a mixture of liquid droplets, dust, dirt, and soot that are too small to be seen by the human eye, with PM particles being approximately the size of a hair tip. Due to their small size, these particles can potentially cause health issues by entering the bloodstream and lungs. Effective concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10 range from 0 to 1500 ug/m3 and 0 to 2000 ug/m3, respectively.
Features
Compact
The sensor can be inserted into any type of instrument or equipment thanks to its ultra-slim design. Both handheld devices and in-the-moment outside monitoring are compatible with it.
Durable
The indoor pm sensor is extremely accurate and has a long-lasting operational life of up to 10 years. Once it is installed in your instrument, you won’t have to worry about sensors again.
Highly Responsive
This indoor PM2.5 sensor is reliable and quick thanks to its 15-second average response time.
Reliable
Advanced algorithms and the laser-based scattering concept provide accurate and trustworthy measurements.
Automatic Feedback
Fan has an integrated closed-loop control to regulate airflow and extend the sensor’s useful life.
Water-Resistant
The likelihood of optical error measurements caused by humidity is decreased by moisture-proof design.
Accurate
Using high-resolution particle sizing will increase the range of applications for a given particle size.
Energy Efficient
Low power input is necessary for it to operate. As a result, this energy-saving sensor reduces the device’s overall energy consumption.
Technology We Use In PM2.5 Dust Sensor
Utilizing the 90 degree light scattering principle, Prana Air’s indoor PM2.5 sensor, known as the PAS-IN-01, measures the levels of both PM2.5 and PM10 within an indoor setting. As air particles enter the sensor, they interact with a LASER beam that strikes a mirror aperture. The backscattered particles are then received by a photodiode. The scattered light collected by the photodiode generates a signal that is translated into both particle mass and count.
